welcome 2 vaporwave-world

Virtual Holographic Paracosm

A vaporwave dimension! It's safe here, but like every other world you must still be cautious. Everyone has a fair shot at life here, everyone is able to afford a home and support themselves, nobody is poor/homeless.

Technology here is a mix of physical media and digital media. A mix of vintage and futuristic.

In this world, a lot of salespeople are always trying to sell you things. Most are a bit pushy, but after a lot of “no”s and/or ignoring, they’ll probably back off (And then ask again the next day. Wonderful...)

The currency here are these purple, glowing crystal dice. They're (almost) unbreakable, most citizens of Virtual Holographic will find it...impressive if you somehow manage to break them despite everything.

During the year 2075, something terrible happened in Virtual Holographic to an...unnamed man. A company in Virtual Holographic was experimenting with something new, something called Dream Sequence Therapy 1997. They planned to make it the best product in the entire dimension, hoping to surpass Sunset Limited, which was way more popular than them.

When it was being tested for the first time, employees were left with memories that were not theirs, memory loss, and loss of the ability to have dreams completely, but they were blackmailed to not say anything. Not many would believe them anyways.

Eventually, they forcefully took a random guy off the street and tested it out on him after months of remaking it, sure that this time it would work.

It ended up failing, and this was the worst result that ever happened. After that, they stopped the project completely and like they did with the employees, forced the man to keep his mouth shut.

During the year 2078, the owner of the company disappeared from the world. Nobody knew where he went, but during the same time he disappeared people were beginning to forget about his store, and eventually he became forgotten.

Virtual Holographic Paracosm has had some other incidents like this. Not as bad as this one, but since money and aesthetic rule the world, there are a few flaws.
